Who we are
Owner & Primary Therapist
Meghann Eident, LICSW
Many people live their life in survival mode, many accept this for the best that they and life can offer. It is my belief that everyone is capable of experiencing the ability to thrive in life. When we settle for just surviving, we are not truly in control, and we seldom see the outcomes we truly desire in our lives. Surviving can cause you discomfort and sometimes interfere with meaningful relationships, and your sense of achievement. Life can be difficult to manage, tackling it requires the right tools and the right perspective on yourself and the world around you.
My therapeutic philosophy is driven by treating the person with in their environment, I use social learning theory and concepts from CBT and DBT to explain and understand the way we think, learn, act and perceive the world around us. In conjunction with these broader theories, bringing in other therapeutic more niche concepts such as hierarchy of needs, developmental stages, moral development trauma cycle and stages of grief is an instrumental tool I use to help patient identify and change patterns in their life.
I obtained a Masters in Clinical Social Work at Boston University, and for the past 7 years I have worked in a number of different atmospheres including; Private practice for Individual and Group Therapies, Inpatient Hospital settings and Intensive Outpatient programs specifically geared for mental health.
